Most of my professional work these days is with LVBL Accelerator, which I founded in 2023. Through this initiative, I have been exploring ways to accelerate the adoption of others work in sustainability across two broad themes that have a great impact on nature - lifestyles and buildings.

After a long break, I have also revived my interest in development communication. A fully redesigned and far more tech-abled platform for India Together, the public interest journal that I founded in 1998, has now made it possible to disseminate articles, opinions and reports about development issues.

I work with a few elected representative and bureaucrats to improve state capacity for public administration. AI-driven governance dashboards for districts and cities are helping to take this work to more parts of the country. I also teach a graduate course on public problem-solving at the Kautilya School of Public Policy in Hyderabad. I've been thinking of writing a book about all this and have finally made a beginning!

EARLIER WORK

Lithium, which I co-founded in 2014, pioneered Electric Vehicles-based transport in India and built the first big fleet of EVs.

I developed a template for community management of lakes in the city, which then spread to dozens of other lakes throughout Bangalore.

The Big10 and BigCircle bus routes which I proposed and designed at BMTC formed the first direction-oriented city bus network in India.

Previously, I founded the social technology lab Mapunity, focused on spatial informatics for development. I do less of this these days, but hope to get back to it more.
